Paid Time Off (PTO), sick days, and other forms of leave are critical to ensuring you’re able to balance your work and personal life, recharge, and show up as your best self. Please note: Where applicable, SunPower’s Time Off policies will be adjusted to comply with local regulations.

Paid-Time Off Policy
Non-Exempt and Part-Time Employees
Non-exempt employees working 20 hours or more per week accrue PTO per the following schedule:

Part-time employees accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis. Accrual rate changes will take effect the first pay period following the anniversary date per the table above.
Discretionary Paid-Time Off Policy
Exempt Employees
Exempt/salaried employees do not accrue PTO or have an allotted number of PTO days but instead are encouraged to take time off as needed. While there is no limit, exempt/salaried employees are still responsible for working with their managers in advance to schedule absences and manage workload and deliverables.
Sick Time
SunPower gives up to 10 sick days (80 hours) per year to all employees. New hires receive 10 days (80 hours) if hired between January and June. If hired between July and December, you will receive 5 days (40 hours) of sick leave.
Volunteer Time Off
Giving back to our communities is a priority at SunPower. We encourage you to get involved in improving your local community. You receive up to 3 days paid time off per year to volunteer on behalf of SunPower with a non-profit or school of your choice.
Bereavement Policy
An employee who has experienced a death in their immediate family is eligible for paid bereavement leave as follows:
• Immediate family is defined as: spouse or domestic partner, children, brother, sister, mother, father, parent-in-law, son in-law, daughter-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, grandchild, grandparent, step grandparent, and step-grandchild.
• Bereavement leave is 3 days. 2 additional days are allowed for out-of-state travel.
Paid Parental Leave
Both birthing and non-birthing parents who have worked at SunPower for at least 12 months receive up to 10 weeks of Paid Parental Bonding Leave (concurrent and offset by State programs). This benefit can be used within 12 months following birth, adoption, or the placement of a foster child.
Bellevue Employees Only:
SunPower provides 100% subsidized parking (first come, first serve basis in the City Center Bellevue building at 500 108th Ave NE) and ORCA public transit passes for employees going into our Bellevue, WA office.
